This week, we have been learning about how to takeaway. We used our first, then and now stories to help us understand how the first amount changes as we take away. We played a game called Race to Zero where we each collected 20 gems onto ten frames and took it in turns to roll the dice and take that many away. The first to reach zero was the winner- it got rather competitive!
UTW- World Bee Day
This week, we celebrated World Bee Day! We made bee headbands and then learnt some facts about bees. We made honey sandwiches and we took part in a experiment. We pretended to be bees and visited lots of different ‘flowers’. We collected ‘pollen’ from each flower and saw how we can pollinate lots of flowers by transferring the pollen to each one.
