the Nativity story and learning about traditions that take place at Christmas.
This week, we have been learning....
P.E
This week, we were excited to have the big apparatus out in our P.E session. We have been learning how to travel along, through, up and over the different apparatus. We worked on our balance skills and jumping skills too plus practising taking turns. We also learnt that many of the Acorns are very brave!
Literacy
This week we have been learning about labels. We talked about what labels are used for and found lots of different types of labels around the classroom. We read labels and stuck them to objects that matched them. We then gave the Acorns post-it notes to write labels for our farmyard small world set up. They used their phonic knowledge to segment the phonemes and write the graphemes that match.
Christmas Decoration Morning
On Friday was All Saints annual Christmas Decoration morning! We wore our Christmas jumpers and invited our families in to take part in a morning of crafting, glittering and decorating! We loved having our families help us and enjoyed singing festive songs to make our amazing Christmas decorations.
