Willow class, 13th – 17th April 2026

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English, this week we will begin analysing the text and writing a short speech in the role of the main character.

Maths: In maths, after finishing our shape topic, we will move on to translation. This will begin by looking at co-ordinates and how to plot and translate a shape using these.

Science – In Science, Willow will be starting a topic on Life Cycles. The first lesson will focus on life cycles of mammals.

Big Question: What do you think is the most valued behaviour to have?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

In art we have begun looking at the sculptor Alberto Giacometti. For the first lesson we looked at some of his pieces. The class then took turns drawing each other in ‘moments of stillness’. Next week we will start to mould these out of wire and plaster.
