Willow Class, 7th -11th September 2026

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English, Willow will be continuing to look at the book Curiosity. They will be focusing on planning and writing their first narrative piece of Year 5.

Maths: In maths, our place value topic leads us to looking at comparing and ordering numbers up to 1 million and rounding to the nearest 10, 100 or 1,000.

Science – In Science this week we will be looking at forces being pushes and pulls. This week’s lesson will look at another contact force – water resistance.

Big Question: How do we know if something is right or wrong?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

In English this week, Willow used freeze frames to explore the idea of the curiosity rover on the surface of Mars.

In art this week, Willow added the second layer to their art work using laminate sheets and acrylic paint. The idea was to add dots and flowing lines just like Chris Ofili did.
