Next week, we are learning....
Literacy- Next week, we will be exploring our focus text for this half term ‘The Something’ by Rebecca Cobb. We are introducing the Acorns to some new vocabulary and using them to create sentences. We will be writing sentences using our sentence snake. We will also be creating a story board to help us understand the 4 parts of the story.
Maths- Next week, we will be learning about repeating patterns. We will be recognising, continuing and creating our own repeating patterns using objects, colours, actions and shapes.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing Phase 2 of our Phonics programme ‘Unlocking Letters and Sounds’. We are learning the phonemes ck, e, u, r and also common exception words ‘to’ and ‘into’.
UTW- Next week, our theme will be ‘Our Bodies’. We will learn about different parts of the body and their uses. We will be talking about how we can keep healthy and how to look after our bodies.
We have been enjoying exploring our enhanced activities during busy time. We have been counting people into houses, matching letter shapes, and practising mark making in our sensory tuff tray. We have also been practising our cutting skills by making crazy haircuts and making autumn potions in the mud kitchen.
