Generosity Week

This week at All Saints we have been celebrating generosity week. We have talked about what generosity means and challenged ourselves to think of ways to be kind and helpful to others over the week. We made a pledge to do 5 things (1 every day) to be kind and helpful. We also talked about being thankful for people who are generous and kind to us. We made thank you cards for our friends and families and really enjoyed giving them out. We had a non-uniform day and donated £1 each to UNICEF. We talked about ways we can be generous to help people who do not have as much as we have.

Topic- Autumn

We have been learning about Autumn this week. We talked about the 4 seasons of the year and the changes we will see in each one. We went on an Autumn walk around the school grounds to search for signs of Autumn. We spotted brown leaves, yellow leaves, orange leaves, bare trees, conkers, acorns and berries. We were a bit disappointed that we did not spot a squirrel so we have been on squirrel lookout the whole week!

.Our Autumn theme led to an interest in Autumn animals. We met a friend of Mrs M’s called Hettie the Hedgehog. She taught us all about hedgehogs and hibernation. We then made hedgehog collages using leaves collected from our Autumn walk. We then made some very yummy hedgehog bread rolls- yum yum!
