Next Week:
Literacy– Next week we will be continuing our journey with our new text ‘The Odd Egg’ by Emily Gravett. We will be using planning, drawing and writing a word/caption to describe a part of the story.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing our Phase 3 Mastery. We will be revisiting how to recognise and say the sounds y, z, zz, qu as well as developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time. We will also be practicing our common exception words we have learnt so far and revisiting the CEWs ‘we’. and ‘be’
Maths –Next week we will be learning how to find, represent and make the numbers 6, 7 and 8 as well as finding one more and one less within them.
Topic/UTW– Next week we will learning all about birds for the Big Schools Bird watch and our Enrichment morning with Oak and Ash on Friday.
This week we have been learning…
Maths – This week we have been finding one less within 5 as well as looking at conceptual subitising and number bonds to 5!
Literacy – The children have been enjoyed our new text ‘The Odd Egg’ by Emily Gravett and are so adept at sequencing stories using our story friends now.
UTW/Topic – This week we have been learning about the African Savanna, the animas that live there and comparing hot climates to cold.
