DT Day - Felt Puppets
The day has finally arrived. The day we are making our own felt puppets.
Our day had a plan and a structure to help make sure we achieved the outcome we intended. To start us off, we reminded ourselves and reviewed the designs we had made previously. We needed this to make sure we were going to select the right colours.
Cutting and bonding time. We used stencils to help us achieve the shape we needed before cutting out our accessories to make the puppets match our plans. We used some great cooperation and stickability for this as it wasn’t all easy!
Our designs were ready and dry. This means… sewing time! We worked hard to decide whether running stitch or overstitch was going to be the best outcome for our puppet. Then the hard work began.
Just take a look at the amazing outcomes! What a bunch of talented children. How lucky I am.
