Ash 14th – 18th December 2020

Merry Christmas

To all of our families and beyond, we wish you a very Merry Christmas. May you enjoy the time with your families and keep safe and healthy. Let’s hope 2021 is a better year for us all!
Love from Mr N, Mrs Palmer and Ash Class.

This week we celebrated the Christingle. We made our own, reminding ourselves of what each one represents and participated in a virtual Christingle Service held by the Ely Cathedral.

Christmas Dinner

No term would be complete without a class Christmas Dinner! Here are some of Ash Class’ cheesy smiles whilst they tucked into their food.

This week in our PE, Tom set us the challenge of using the apparatus to resemble a balance, pose or travel with the theme of Christmas. I was so impressed by the creativity from the children.

A Special Virtual Pantomime

(Oh no it wasn’t!) – Oh yes it was! We, as a school, felt so lucky to have our own virtual pantomime! We were entertained through the story of Sleeping Beauty as well as a multitude of many other traditional tales mixed into one. There were many revelations throughout the show including the ground-breaking news that Mr N was the biscuit thief!!

This week we explored ‘Keeping Clean’ and the ways in which we do this. We explored the different ways we keep clean, spoke and ordered the correct steps on how to wash our hands as well as a glitter experiment! We stuck our hands in glitter and experimented with what was the best way to remove the glitter: a paper towel, cold water or warm water with soap. We all decided that washing with warm water and soap was the best way for removing the germs…

Christmas Cards

Never underestimate the excitement behind opening Christmas cards!
