Art
This week, the mulching process began! The children added different textured materials to the surface of their planet to give it the real effect of an actual distant planet. Though it was sticky and sloppy, there were certainly some great outcomes!
Maths
We explored the comparative symbols this week, looking at the greater and less than symbols. The children were amazing at recognising the number value and building numbers that determined whether they were a larger or lesser number.
History
This week, we tiptoed into learning a little about Neil Armstrong. We explored how his live and upbringing was very different to Columbus’ life. We explored what the world and technology looked like in the 1960s, the decade of the moon landing, and found out just how much it differs from our time but also to Columbus. The children couldn’t believe that TVs, cars and telephones have been around for this long!
