Ash 5th – 7th January 2022

Next week's learning...

English: Contractions, possessive apostrophes and descriptive writing.
Maths: The multiplication symbol, use arrays, make doubles.
Science: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Phonics: “y” that makes the “i” sound.

It’s been a very busy week this week in English! We have been looking at plurals – those that have s, es, ies and ves endings. We also explored compound words and investigated a range of different words that could be paired together.

Multiplication! This week we investigated the word equal and realised just how important of a word this is in multiplication. We have been recognising equal groups, making equal groups and adding equal groups.

Reverend Lawson gave us a service explaining what epiphany is. Sienna lit the candle at the front of the church and Hope was one of the wise men!

We did it! The Seasons’ Song is complete! I am SO proud of all the children in the class. After a 3 week gap – they came back with full effort to perform this dance and here is our finished product. Please take a look at the video and see their efforts. We were even joined by Oak class who also congratulated us on our performance.
