Ash 3rd – 7th July 2023

Next week’s learning…

English: Memory poems, past progressive and narrative planning.
Maths: Position and direction.
Science: Consolidation learning.
Phonics: Homophones revision.

Science

This week we learned all about biomes and the importance for how they’re used in plant care, germination and conditions. We understood that some plants grow better in warmer temperatures and that these are needed. To put this to the test, we made some greenhouses and are growing some runner beans. One runner bean is growing inside the greenhouse and another isn’t. We are going to compare how the growth goes!

Art

We learned about Georgia O’Keeffe this week and her study of plants. We created one of our own inspired by her work.

Computing

We explored making different figures in preparation to create our own, self-controlled animation.
