History

To celebrate our new learning on astronaut Neil Armstrong, we decided to turn the classroom into space to allow the children to think really realistically about what space could look like. The children loved the idea of being able to see the lights as stars and the planets which glow in the dark. It enabled us to help think about what life would be like if we were standing on one of the planets, for example,  the moon.

Art

Now that the pulp has dried, we were able to start the part with all been waiting for: painting! The children thought carefully about which colours they would like to have as the base of their planet before thinking about the types of details they will add once it has dried. So far the planets are looking pretty awesome and I can’t wait to see what the finishing touches will do to them.

PE

We developed our catching skills with Tom this week.
