Elder Class 12th to 16th June 2023

Our learning this week:

In English we are learning to write a setting description using expanded noun phrases, similes and metaphors, use show not tell in a story.

In maths we are learning to solve problems involving multiplication, add and subtract mixed numbers.

In science we are learning to plan and carry out an investigation.

Our Big Question this week is ‘

Reminder: Elder class are visiting Shimpling Farm on Wednesday. Don’t forget your sunhat, packed lunch and drinks.

 

In PE, Elder class played rounders. There was some great batting and fielding and an amazing catch from Amy!

 

In maths, Elders were solving problems involving multiplication. There was excellent co-operation throughout the class and some fantastic stickability too.

 

Elder class had a great time at Shimpling Farm. They learnt about the importance of pollination and sustainability in farming, watched sheep being sheared and even helped Alice by packing up the fleeces. 

 

In art, Elders were painting/decorating their boot jacks. They look great – superb creativity!
