Elder class 13th to 17th December 2021

Several of the children presented their half term projects to the rest of the class today. They have researched Christmas around the world and found out lots of interesting facts.

We have continued with our English work based on the book ‘Everest’. This week we have written newspaper articles, formal letters and designed fact files about Ernest Shackleton (an explorer who inspired Edmunds Hillary).

Elder class got into the Christmas spirit by designing and making Christmas cards.

The Jolabokaflod books are bagged up and ready to go home with their new owners. If you are off school at the moment, your book will be waiting for you in January.

Elder class finished off their art unit on John Brunsdon by completing their printing using the blocks they had prepared previously. We called Mrs Lamb, the expert, in to demonstrate printing techniques before we started. Elders did a brilliant job – their prints look great!

Elder class had a drawing competition. We had to make it fair so everyone drew on a plate whilst it was balanced on their head! There were some interesting results and lots of laughs!
