Elder Class 14th to 18th March 2022

In maths this week we are learning to find the volume of cuboids; we are learning the language of ratio; we are learning the difference between ratio and proportion.

In English this week we are learning to use parenthesis to add detail to our writing.

In science this week we are learning about the scientific concept of adaptation.

After their sessions with the Theatre Royal, Elder class have drafted their playscripts and were today typing them up. There was co-operation evident and lots of concentration!

Elder class enjoyed a treasure hunt in the sunshine finding the volume of cuboids. They showed great cooperation in their talk buddy pairs and excellent enthusiasm for their learning.

Session 3 of Elder class’s forest schools sessions was equally as great as the first two. All of the class found lots to keep themselves busy and, despite the weather taking a turn for the worse, a good time was had by all.

Kitty wrote a book review for our class journal. Great motivation.
