Elder Class 20th to 24th March 2023

Our learning this week:

In maths we are learning to read and interpret dual bar graphs and pie charts and construct pie charts. We our learning to understand the mean and calculate the mean.

In English we are writing letters based on The Day the Crayons Quit.

In science this week we are learning to understand human intervention in evolution.

Our Big Question this week is ‘what keeps us safe’?

In geography we began looking at National Parks in the UK. We looked at where they are positioned in the country and considered what the land might look like using relief maps. Finally we looked at photos of the different National Parks and tried to decide which matched with the descriptions we had.

Elder class did a great job of researching artists and architects for their half term project. The class enjoyed listening to all the interesting information.

In English, Elder class have written letters in role as items of stationery in the classroom complaining about their treatment at the hands of Elder class. They showed fantastic creativity!
