Elder Class 22nd to 25th May 2023

Our learning this week:

In English this week we are learning to write a narrative using dual perspective; plan and write a persuasive leaflet.

In science this week we are learning to plan and complete an investigation involving wire length.

A massive congratulations to Cass who, after two busy days on our residential trip, spent the weekend competing in a gymnastics and tumbling competition. Cassie’s East team of five girls came third in the National finals after competing against twelve regional teams on Saturday. Then on Sunday in her English Tumble qualifier, Cass came second in her group so she came away with a silver medal and has qualified for the English finals next month. What an incredible achievement – well done, Cass. We are all so proud of you!

Elders have been studying the visual text ‘Alma’ in English. They wrote the whole story as a Big Write trying to create suspense and atmosphere. They did a great job!

With SATS and the residential visit out of the way and the end of term fast approaching, Elder class have begun rehearsals for their leavers’ play. They are loving the songs and doing a great job getting into character. There are lots of lines to learn but it should be a great performance!
