After half term’s learning:
Maths:
This week we started our new topic of Length and Perimeter. We looked at converting between metres and kilometres. We then looked at mating the perimeter of rectangles on a grid.
English:
This week we have been looking at writing shape poems about animals. We thought about what made a good poem and how we could create our own.
Music:
We we’re practicing using the E, F and G chord. The song Ripe Tide by Vance Joy was the base to support us with this.
Science:
This week we explored pitch. We learnt that pitch described how low or high a sound is. We also learnt that the higher the pitch the quicker and tighter the vibrations. The lower the pitch the slower the vibrations. We practiced this with an elastic band. The tighter we pulled the elastic bands the higher the pitch.
Computing:
We looked at different websites and noted their features. We spotted that websites have images, text and links. Depending on their purpose they might have reviews, prices and videos.
