Maths – 11 and 12 times tables.
English:
We have started our new text The Baker by the Sea. We began by focusing on the recipe that appears in the back of the book. We then had a go at applying for a village baker job, giving reasons for why we’d be the perfect candidate. We then looked at the other jobs that appeared in our story. We had fish merchants, butchers, basket makers, cafe owners and much more. We were given a job and had to create adverts for our jobs! Check out this week’s ‘Stellar Sentences’:
Maths:
We have continued looking at times tables this week in maths. We have been focusing on the 9s and 7s. We have done a mixture of activities to help us become more confident!
PE:
We had a great PE lesson practicing a dance called The Spy.
Science:
We did an experiment investigating melting. We put an ice cube in cold water and warm water and timed it to see which melted quicker. We also took the start and end temperatures of the water to see how ice can affect the temperature.
