Next week’s learning:
English – Suspense writing with The Wolves in the Walls
Maths – methods of division
Maths:
This week we focused on securing our understanding of multiplying using the column method. We did this for both 2 digit and 3 digit numbers. We also looked at division. To begin with, we kept things practical by using place value counters to support our learning.
English:
This week we began writing our suspense story. We are adapting Neil Gaiman’s The Wolves in the Walls. So far, we have used fronted adverbials, alliterative verbs and dialogue.
Music:
This week, we looked at sea shanties such as Drunken Sailor and The Wellerman. We also looked at a Spanish folk song called the Spanish Cha Cha Cha. We looked at using the E F G chords.
Geography:
Continuing our living sustainably topic, we looked at how our school is sustainable. We thought about how we do Seed to Tree, recycle, turn off the lights and have solar panels. We then thought about how we could be sustainable within ourselves such as doing PE and eating healthy. We then created posters about this.
