Maths – column method multiplication
Maths:
We focused on looking dividing by 10 and 100 this week. We used the place value chart to support this. We also looked different methods of multiplying such as number lines, partitioning and column method.
English:
We used our cooperation skill to work together to create personification poems comparing animals to a storm. We then used our knowledge of expanded noun phrases to create descriptions of the storm. We also practiced using thesaurus to up-level our work.
Science:
We explored the ear and the different parts which help us to hear. We learnt the jobs of the outer ear, ear canal, ear drum, ear bones and cochlear. We also learnt that our ears help us to balance!
