In our first week of English lessons, we’ve been exploring punctuating sentences. We went back to basis looking at capital letters and full stops. We then explored simple sentences. We focused on how all sentences need at least one verb and the a subject that is doing the verb.

Maths:
This week in maths we have been looking at place value. We started by recapping representing numbers up to 100. We used dienes to help us with this. This led us onto representing numbers up to 1,000. We looked at place value charts and counters to help us with this.
PE:
This week we started our new sport, Hockey. We practiced holding the stick as well as passing it to our partner. We then had a go at moving a long with the ball using the stick to keep it from going too far. We then played a game of hockey stuck in the mud!
