Ancient Greek day
As part about ancient Greek learning we had an ancient Greek in Richmond day to further explore Greek life. We started the day by looking at our names in the Greek alphabet and translating them. We then moved on to making our very own Greek inspired vases which we will further go on to paint with traditional Greek patterns. The children showed fantastic, creativity stickability and resilience whilst using their papier-mâché techniques. After lunch we made laurel leaf crowns to take to our Olympic games. We sampled some traditional drink Greek cuisine Tata banquet. I was impressed at how many children tried food they hadn’t tried before. We finished the day with a fantastic Olympic games. We had chariot racing, a memory game, javelin and a traditional running race.
