Lime 27th-1st July (Health and Fitness Week)

Monday

We started the week off with a bang! The whole school joined in with a wake and shake led by some of the teachers. After break time we made our sandwiches for the whole school picnic in the afternoon. We took our healthy sandwiches onto the field and joined year 4 and the rest of the school for lots of circle games and fun! We ended the day by getting slightly wet with our water races. The teachers even had a go!

Tuesday

Tuesday brought a very special guest to the classroom. Paul Hollywood came to be part of our Great British Bake off afternoon and gave out some handshakes. The children made some fantastic smoothie bowls and it was certainly a tough decision for Mary and Paul.

We also took part in a tennis session with David Hall and enjoyed working collaboratively with our team mates.

The day started with a LKS2 rounders competition in the sun. The children had a great time.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we played some team games and survival games with year 2. We enjoyed showing cooperation and great communication skills. One of the challenges was communicating in silence and using non-verbal cues.

We also had a great time skateboarding with Ash. The children really enjoyed learning new skateboarding skills and showing their resilience. Ash was very complimentary on the Limey’s attitudes.

Thursday

On Thursday the whole school took part in our fancy dress sponsored walk/run around the field. I loved seeing all the imaginative costumes! The whole looked great 😁
