English: write an information paragraph about rivers. Plan and write an information leaflet about rivers
Maths: length and perimeter- metres, centimetres and millimetres, equivalent lengths and adding lengths.
Science- soils- investigating the absorbency of soils.
Spelling- adding the ‘ous’ suffix to words. Adding to complete root words e.g.- thunderous, venomous, poisonous. Adding ‘ous’ to incomplete root words e.g.- numerous, anonymous, jealous.
This week's learning-
D.T.
This week the children learnt how to make a complete circuit to light up a bulb. They then spent time investigating different switches and how they can be used to turn on and off a bulb.
Forest schools
The children had a wonderful time at forest schools. They all enjoyed a hot chocolate and the lovely sunshine.
