English: exploring our new text- making predictions, writing a character description and a simile poem.
Maths: fractions- understand unit fractions, compare unit fractions, understand non-unit fractions, understand the whole, compare and order non-unit fractions.
Science- Light- light sources and the sun
Spelling- adding the ‘ous’ suffix to words. Spelling words with the -eous and -ious ending.
This week's learning-
Music- the children learnt to play an accompaniment to the song we are learning. They also started to compose their own accompaniment.
DT- The children built their alarms this week. They then had to present their final product to me before evaluating it. I was really impressed by their independence and great problem solving skills.
