Willow Class 8th-12th November 2021

Next week's learning:

English: we will be writing and editing letters of complaint linked to our book- The Island.  We will also be recapping adverbs and adverbial phrases.

Maths: we will be recapping multiplying by 10, 100 and 10 before moving onto dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.  We will also be looking at multiples of 10, 100 and 1000.

Science: we will be investigating the factors/variables which affacet the speed of dissolving.

This week:

English: We looked at the difference between formal and inofrmal letters before looking carefully at the structure and layout of formal letters.  During our spelling session this week we investigated silent letters- the dictionaries were really handy…

In Maths we used counters to help us investigate prime and square numbers.

During music Willow Class showed off their amazing glockenspiel playing when they learnt to play a three note Bossa.  They then worked on their improvisation skills.

Mrs Lamb join us for the afternoon during  Art to help us finish our art work inspired by Dan Fenelon.  She was very impressed with our finished work-
