What a fantastic carol concert year 5, well done to all of you!

The Christmas fun continued with singing at the Willow’s Care Home, a Christmas quiz year 6 and Christmas lunch!

We have had a fantastic two days of science to finish our unit on materials. We looked at different ways to separate materials (sieving, filtration, evaporating and magnetism). We also looked at irreversible reactions. Willow made casein plastic out of warm milk and vinegar which they shaped. Lastly a made ‘elephants toothpaste’ a reaction of hydrogen peroxide and yeast. They all came up to feel the heat given off in the reaction.
