This week in Willow Class we will be:
English: In English we will be starting our new class text of The Wreck of the Zanzibar.
Maths: In maths we are starting our new three-week unit on decimals. This first week we will be adding and subtracting decimals within 1 and adding decimals crossing the whole.
Science – Our topic in science this half term is Animals including humans. In the first week, after looking at the human development timeline, we will be looking at the growth of babies.

Willow class had great fun creating bridges in DT, they had to see what weights could be supported without the bridge collapsing.
An interesting first art lesson – we’ve started looking at the works of Alberto Giacometti. The class had to pose for their talk buddy’s in various aspects. The important part was from a distance as Giacometti saw people as “a succession of moments of stillness”. The rain suddenly came down through so we had to quickly rush inside to complete the lesson. Watch this space for their sculptures!
