Willow 6th – 10th February 2023

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English after half term, Willow will be starting a two week topic on the film narrative – The Piano.

Maths: After half term, we will be continuing with our topic on decimals and percentages, focusing on rounding decimals and understanding percentages.

Science – Our new topic in science after half term is forces. Our first lesson will be on forces in action.

Big Question – this week the big question is: Do our brains all work in the same way?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

In science this week we were looking at life cycles. Within this Willow looked at the various parts of an egg. They could all name the yolk but many other parts were new. Including the albumen, the membrane and the germinal disc (photographed in the close up of the egg).

During the same science lesson, Willow class had to pretend to be presenters for a nature documentary and film themselves discussing the various life cylces of animals, birds, insects and amphibians.
