Willow – 7th – 11th December

Our learning this week (w/c  14.12.20):

English: In English this week Willow will be finishing off their work on setting descriptions for the Ice Bear and looking at poetry based around the Arctic.

Maths: In maths Willow Class will be consolidating their learning from this term by revisiting certain aspects we’ve covered.

Science: We have finished our science topic for this half term. Our new topic after Christmas will be: Living things and their habitats.

Have a look at the pictures below to see what Willow have been up to this week.

In science this week Willow were looking at different methods to separate materials – filtration, sieving, evaporation and magnetic attraction. I also showed them two irreversible reactions. One making a plastic out of vinegar and milk and then they mixed vinegar and bicarb together to inflate a balloon with carbon dioxide.

A great Christmas decoration morning of making Christmas wax wraps and decorations.
