Willow class, 1st – 5th December

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English this week, Willow will be finishing their letters (the start of these have been fantastic). Then we will be doing some independent writing linked to our descriptive narrative topic. Lastly they will be writing with the focus of DT.

Maths: In maths this week we are going to be starting our new topic on multiplication and division. The first lessons will focus on multiplying 4 digits by 1 digit, multiplying 2 digits by 2 digits using the area model and then finally moving on to increasingly larger numbers multiplied by 2 digits using the column method.

Science – In Science this week we will be looking at night and day.

Big Question:  What makes a place feel like home?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

Willow have had a fantastically Christmassy day – decorating the Christmas cakes they made, making table displays (we hope you like these) and making their christingles for the Christingle service in the church.

On Wednesday Willow worked in groups to make their Christmas cakes ready for decoration morning on Friday.

On Monday Willow were practicing and performing their dances by chance.
