Willow class, 27th April – 1st May 2026

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English, Willow will complete and edit their Environmental narrative.

Maths: In maths, Willow will be finishing their topic on shape and position by looking at reflection and symmetry. We will then begin our next topic on decimals. This will begin with adding and subtracting decimals and looking at complements to one.

Science – In Science, Willow will be continuing their topic on Life Cycles. The next lesson will focus on life cycles of insects.

Big Question: Why should we think about the feelings of others?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

Our first two groups did phenomenally well during their bikeability training. The instructors were full of praise for their attitude and stickability. Well done Year 5. We look forward to the last group going out next week.

In computing, Willow have been using the Scratch software for programming.

In art, Willow began adding the Mod-roc to their wire sculptures today. This has given them much more rigidity – they are really taking shape. It was too beautiful a day not to take our art outside!
