Willow Class, 28th – 2nd October 2026

This week in Willow Class we will be:

English: In English, Willow will be completing their formal mission logs based on the book Curiosity. We will then be moving on to look at the book The Wreck of the Zanzibar by Michael Morphurgo. They will be writing character and setting descriptions as well as an informal letter.

Maths: In maths, we begin our multiplication and division topic. To start with, we will be looking at factors and multiples.

Science – In Science this week we will be looking at forces being pushes and pulls. This week’s lesson will look at using a smaller force for a bigger impact.

Big Question: What responsibility do we have to protect the planet for future generations?

Have a look below to see what we’ve been up to this week:

In music, Willow used the glockenspiels to play the notes g, a and b.

In art this week, Willow began adding paint to their Dan Fenelon inspired Maya images. They are going to look amazing when they are finished. Next is to add white patterns and detailing.

In Science on Friday, we looked at gravity. The class experimented with using Newton metres to better understand the relationship between mass and weight.
