Maths:
This week in maths, we have been looking at rounding. We began by rounding to the nearest 10. We used number lines to support our learning. We then moved on to looking at rounding to the nearest 100. Again using number lines, we thought about what multiple of 100 our number was closest too. Finally, we looked at rounding to the nearest 1,000.
English:
This week, we looked at using apostrophes. We began by looking at apostrophes for contractions. We became surgeons and had to carefully operate on our contracted words, bandaging them up with an apostrophe plaster showing the omitted words. We then looked at using apostrophes for singular possession.
PE:
This week, we practice defending. We did this by putting our stick on the floor to block the ball. We also practiced tackling each other in order to get the ball and then shoot.
