Next Week:
Literacy – Next week we will be continuing to explore our new text ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’. We will begin to say, plan and write different parts of the story creating instructional sentences for how to plant a seed.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing our journey into Phase 4! This phase concentrates on adjacent consonant blends, multi syllabic words and suffix endings. We will be looking at the adjacent consonants sp, sw, st, tr and tw. We will also be learning new CEW’s ‘when’, ‘out’ and ‘what’
Maths –Next week we will be exploring addition and number problems.
Topic/UTW– Next week we are going to be continuing our minibeast topic! We will be learning all about different types of minibeasts.
This week we have been learning…
Maths – This week we have been learning how to recognise, build and count from 13-20! We have also been exploring the number patterns beyond 20.
Literacy – The children have been busy looking closely into our new text ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’. We have been planning and beginning to write our instructional sentences for how to plant a seed. We have also been working very hard in whiteboard time to write dictated sentences!
UTW/Topic – This week we have been learning all about snails!
