Class routines
This week in Acorn class has been all about settling into being at big school and getting to know each other. We have enjoyed exploring our classroom provision, making new friends and learning new routines. We have learnt how to sit on a carpet and to line up.
Next week, we are learning….
We will be continuing to focus on settling in next week and learning our classroom rules.
Literacy- We will be focusing on recognising and writing our names.
Maths- We will be focusing on number rhymes such as ‘Five Little Ducks’ and ‘Five little speckled frogs’.
Phonics- We will be focusing on Phase 1 of our phonics programme where we explore instrumental and environmental sounds, alliteration and rhyme and rhythm.
UTW- We will be focusing on ourselves and drawing our own self portraits.
