This week we have been learning.....
PD- Lawshall Mile
In All Saints, all the classes try and do the ‘Lawshall Mile’ which is a challenge to try and run a mile between us every week. The Acorns had a go at this today and wow they were committed. Mrs M challenged them to run 2 laps of the school field which they all did with a smile on their faces. We listened to our hearts beat before and after and talked about the difference and explained how exercise gives us great energy for our learning for the rest of the day.
UTW- Families
This week, we have been learning about families. We talked about different family members and discussed our own families with each other. We decided to make our own family portraits using pebbles. We talked about our own family members and selected the different size pebbles accordingly. They looked so cute!!
Maths- Matching
This week, we have been focusing on matching. We learnt that matching means ‘the same’ and we set about matching pairs, objects, outlines, numbers and pictures. We then identified what a set means and played games matching sets and trying to spot the odd one out.
