UTW
This week, we ‘visited’ London! We located London on a map of the UK and talked about ways to travel around the city. We enjoyed learning about the different landmarks we can see when we visit London and then challenged the Acorns to create the landmarks using resources in the classroom. We loved how much creativity we could see!
Maths
We have been learning about 3D shapes this week. We learnt the names and discussed the properties of each shape. We explored faces and counted the corners. We sorted them into groups and explored if they could roll or stack. We challenged the Acorns to build something using the 3D shapes. We discussed which shapes they used and why some 3D shapes are better to build than others!
