Next Week:
Literacy – Next week we will be continuing to explore our new text ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’. We will be looking closely at the text and sequencing the events using our story friends.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing our journey into Phase 4! This phase concentrates on adjacent consonant blends, multi syllabic words and suffix endings. We will be looking at the adjacent consonants bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fl, and fr. We will also be learning new CEW’s ‘were‘ and ‘there’.
Maths –Next week we will be exploring numbers beyond 10! We will be talking about recognising, building and finding the pattern in 11, 12, and 13.
Topic/UTW– Next week we will learning about how to plant a bean!
This week we have been learning…
Maths – This week we have been learning how to create complex repeating patterns, using 3 or 4 parts. We also explored creating these patterns in a circle and in a rectangle formation.
Literacy – The children have been busy jumping into our new text ‘The Extraordinary Gardener’. We have been making inferences from the pictures and thinking about the key steps to plant a seed.
UTW/Topic – This week we have been learning all about the parts of a plant, what they are called and what they are used for.
