Literacy– Next week we will be drawing images and writing words or captions to describe different parts of our text ‘The Jolly Christmas Postman’ by Allan and Janet Ahlberg..
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing our Phase 3 Phonics. We will be repeating this weeks sounds – learning how to recognise and say the digraphs oo, ar, or, ar as well as developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time. We will also be practicing our common exception words ‘we have learnt so far and learning the CEW’s ‘they’ and ‘all’.
Maths –Next week we will be finding, identifying and combining four sided shapes.
Topic/UTW– Next week we will exploring how Christians celebrate Christmas and the nativity story in more depth.
This week we have been learning…
Maths – This week we have been learning about how to make different compositions of 4 and 5!
UTW/Topic – This week we have been learning about transport from the past. We also had a fabulous time at Christmas decoration morning, making our Christingles and attending the Christingle service!
Phonics- This week we have continued our Phase 3 Phonics. We have practised learning how to recognise and say the sounds ai, ee, igh, oa as well as developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time. We will also learnt the CEW’s ‘was’ and ‘you’.
