Next Week:
Literacy– Next week we will introducing our new text ‘The Jolly Christmas Postman’ by Allan and Janet Ahlberg and sequencing the plot using our story friends.
Phonics- Next week, we will be continuing our Phase 3 Phonics. We will be repeating this weeks sounds – learning how to recognise and say the digraphs ai, ee, igh, oa as well as developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time. We will also be practicing our common exception words ‘we have learnt so far and learning the CEW’s ‘was’ and ‘you’.
Maths – Next week we will be finding composotions of the numbers 4 and 5, finding the smaller numbers hiding within them.
Topic/UTW– Next week we will exploring the topic of Christmas in our provision as well as thinking about transport of the past!
This week we have been learning…
Maths – This week we have been learning about the numbers 4 and 5, how to find, recognise, order and subitise them!
UTW/Topic – This week we have been learning about different astronauts, finding out what they have to do to be able to visit space.
Literacy – Acorn class have continued to enjoy our book ‘Look Up!’ by Nathan Byron. They have done some incredible drawing and writing about different parts of the story!
