Next week is Health and Fitness week and Sports Day. Your child can come in PE clothes ( or clothes suitable for sport ) all week!
Please make sure your child has plenty of water, a hat and sun cream.
Phonics – We will be continuing our practise of Phase 4 adjacent consonants and common exception words next week.
This week, we have been learning….
Maths
This week, we have been learning about even and odd numbers. Acorns have been incredible at understanding what an odd number is and what an even number is, spotting the difference in objects as well as pictures. We have even noticed the numerical patterns of odds and evens alternating in the counting sequence!
Literacy
This week, we have been accessing drawing club. The children have been writing sentences based on what Tiddler the fish said had happened to him from the story ‘Tiddler’ by Julia Donaldson this week. The children did such a great job with their sentences – showing off their great segmenting skills and use of fingers spaces!
UTW- Ocean Enrichment Day
This week we have really enjoyed ‘Ocean Day’ – we did so much, including; thinking about how humans use the oceans, how we can clean our oceans, retelling a story from pictures, zooming in on and creating images from the ocean, learning about where the oceans are, looking at how much water we use and comparing the size of different creatures from the sea.
