We have had a fantastic first week in Acorn Class! The children have settled really well and we are incredibly proud of them. This week we have been developing our listening skills in Phase 1 phonics and exploring our new environment!
Next week:
Literacy– Next week, we will be recognising, ordering the letters of and writing our names!
Phonics– Next week, we will be continuing Phase 1 of our phonics programme Unlocking Letters and Sounds. We will be continuing to develop our listening skills, tuning into sounds and developing our phonetic awareness.
Topic/UTW– We will be beginning our theme of ‘Who Am I’ , looking at making portraits of and talking about ourselves whilst we continue to settle and develop relationships in our classroom environment.
