Next Week:
Literacy– Next week we will be introducing our new text ‘The Giant Jam Sandwich’ . We will be immersing ourselves in the story and thinking about the sequence of the story using our ‘story friends’ as well as watching modelled writing.
Phonics– Next week, we will be continuing our Phase 2 Phonics. We will be introducing and learning how to recognise and say the sounds g, o, c, k as well as using our oral blending skills, developing our segmenting to read skills and our use of whiteboard time.
Maths – Next week we will be exploring comparing of size, mass and capapcity using our mathematical reasoning and new vocabulary.
Topic/UTW– Next week we will be learning about our bodies!
This week we have been learning…
Maths – We have been doing some amazing work at organising and ‘sorting’ buttons by lots of different sorting rules created by the children.
UTW/Topic – We have been thinking about the different types of homes that are lived in as well as the different types of buildings we see on the way to school. we had a go at drawing maps of our journeys!
Literacy – Acorn class have completed their first pieces of writing this week, using their knowledge of initial sounds that we have learnt. Well done Acorns!
