Next week:
Literacy– Next week we will be continuing to look at our text ‘The Something’ by Rebecca Cobb. We will be planning, drawing and rehearsing words/initial sounds to write about different parts of the story!
Phonics– Next week, we will be continuing our Phase 2 Phonics. We will be introducing and learning how to recognise and say the sounds i, n, m, d as well as using our oral blending skills and developing our segmenting to read skills.
Maths – Next week we will use our previous learning of ‘matching’ to develop methods of ‘sorting’ objects as well as comparing amounts to find out if they are more/less/equal.
Topic/UTW– Next week we will be thinking about homes and communities, the places we live!
This week we have been learning…
Maths – we have been looking at matching and how that means when two or more things are exactly the same. We have also explored creating ‘sets’.
Owl pellets – Acorn class had an exciting time with Ash class this afternoon looking through owl pellets to find bones and skulls!
