Maths: Adding to the next ten, adding over a ten, subtracting over a ten.
English: Prediction, simile poems, incidental writes, exploring text features.
Science: Balanced diets.
Phonics: 5b and 5c.
Science
The long-awaited teeth lesson arrived! We spoke about the importance of brushing our teeth regularly and how to keep them safe from plaque. We also learned that we will have 28 teeth as adults, or 32 if our wisdom teeth have grown in. We all had a purple disclosing tablet to see where the purple covered our teeth. Using this wisdom, we then brushed our teeth in the hallway. Safe to say, we all had glistening white teeth at the end!
Maths
We used the rekenreks to help us add to the next ten as well as add bridging through the ten. Using the one finger, one push technique, we had quick and accurate recall responses.
