Next week's learning...

English: Descriptive writing, fact files.
Maths: Money
Science: Waterproof Investigation
Phonics: dge/ge spelling.

This week we started our new text. It started off with the children using clues to identify the endangered animal’s footprint. We then found out there was one which had no clues with it. Using our predictive and deductive skills, we thought about who the footprint belonged to. We then wrote letters to a museum to help us identify what it was… it turned out to be the extinct Dodo!

We’ve been exploring money in our maths this week. We’ve been developing our strategies of counting pence and pounds. We used many practical elements to help us identify the value of coins as well as their place value.

Forest Schools

We had a great Forest Schools session this week! We got ourselves involved in fire-lighting, toasting marshmallows, making bird feeders, den building, wood drilling and mud sliding!
