Elder Class 30th October to 3rd November 2023

Our learning next week (6th to 10th November):

In maths we are learning to add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers.

In English we are learning to write a diary entry in role.

In science we are learning to use scientific symbols to draw circuit diagrams.

Our Big Question this week is ‘why can’t we see or hear God?’

Remember, Elder class now have PE on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.

Elders showed great co-operation while researching life in the trenches during World War I. They then used their notes to produce a non-chronological report in the form of a double-page spread. They had to finish them off at home due to the adverse weather (again)!

In maths we have been comparing fractions and have now moved on to adding fractions. Elder class have absolutely nailed it! Super neat work!

Elder class read the poem ‘In Flanders Field’ and then used it as a basis for writing their own cinquains.
